Methyl Acetate

Methyl Acetate is functional as a highly effective solvent in glues, paints and nail polish removers. This is a non-polar (lipophilic) aprotic solvent, which has 25% of solubility in water and can be kept well, at room temperature. Methyl Acetate is highly miscible with different common organic solvents (alcohols, glycols, ketones, esters). At elevated temperatures, it gets more soluble in water. Most commonly, this is serviceable as a volatile low toxicity solvent in glues, nail polish removers and paints. This is a fast evaporating and active solvent of mild odor that is used in many coating as well as ink resins.
